Temitope Abiagom, MSW(c)
Temitope Abiagom is completing her Master of Social Work degree at Dalhousie University. Her MSW thesis explores the intersection of social inclusion, belonging, and employment, with a focus on the experiences of Immigrant and Refugee Youth in employment/ Workplace. She has experience developing and managing social programs, group facilitation, and community social work. Temitope currently works as part of a collaborative health care team at the North End Community Health Centre in Halifax. She is the founder of the Immigrant Parents Network, a volunteer-run society that supports Newcomer and Immigrant parents in Canada. She is also a co-founder of the Helping Hands Project, a grassroots initiative that facilitates access to education for out-of-school children in Nigeria. An active member of her community, Temitope also serves as vice-chair on the local school board's school advisory council.
